I REMEMBER
No good friends warned me
yellowed sight can’t see
but in that cup of tea
I was once set free;
for a moment in time
my lost heart did shine
and all seemed just fine
yet life isn’t always that kind.
There isn’t a day I don’t care
to lose mundane despair,
I run as fast as a hare
with little to no air,
now how do I go back
to a place I felt no lack;
in that quiet jungle shack
I saw the distant right track.
